Ed Corney was born in 1933, at the time when bodybuilding was far not as popular and developed as it is today. The sportsman managed to become not only one of the greatest bodybuilders of his time but also a true revolutionist in the sport.
Corney was known for his hard work and a rare devotion to bodybuilding. He quickly became an icon of the sport and changed bodybuilding standards. One of the greatest bodybuilders in the history had numerous titles including Mr. America, Mr. Olympia, and Mr. Universe.
Ed always stayed positive and interested in the latest sports events. He was full of energy and served as a great example for generations of sportsmen.
Unfortunately, 2018 Christmas became the last holiday in the life of the sport’s legend. Ed suffered a brain aneurysm a week before New Year and was delivered to a hospital. Doctors and family members of Ed were trying hard to save and prolong the life of the popular sportsman, beloved father, and grandfather.
However, Ed Corney passed on 1st of January 2019. The information was lately shared by his grandson and verified by official sources. Ed was 85 when he died.
The world lost another great representative of the Golden Era of the sport and a bright talented person. This loss made millions of sports fans sad. Rest in peace, Ed!
