PRODUCT REVIEW: Performance Lab Sport T+.
In this Performance Lab Sport T+ review, we’ll take a look at the brand-new testosterone booster that claims to help you:
- Optimize testosterone for peak muscle growth and performance
- Support androgen levels linked to virility, vigor, and muscle strength
- Protect testosterone from the negative effects of aromatase and estrogen
- Stimulate Luteinizing Hormone for enhanced T production
Sport T+ represents the next generation of Performance Lab’s testosterone enhancers. It replaces their old T-booster which was meant to be taken together with their multivitamin. This made everything a bit too expensive.
With its nature-identical ingredients, Performance Lab Sport T+ has one of the cleanest formulas you’ll see in a T booster. The dosages are very safe and there’s no risk of side effects. Even the capsules are made to be easily absorbed in your body.
Now, the only question is:
Does Performance Lab T+ have what it takes to make our Top Testosterone Boosters page?
That’s exactly what this review aims to find out.
Pros and Cons
We did a thorough inspection of Performance Lab Sport T+ and were quite impressed by what we saw.
The quality of everything is extremely high. The entire line of Performance Lab supplements are made from the best possible materials and patented ingredients, and Sport T+ is no exception.
However, there’s one downside that you may notice. While safe and high-quality, the ingredients are a little on the light side. Boron for example, is a little underdosed, which means it may not produce very strong effects.
But besides that, it’s a perfect formula with the full package. Everything from natural ingredients to eco-friendly packaging gives a very premium feel about Performance Lab Sport T+.
See for yourself:
- Complete formula with high-quality ingredients that support energy, vitality, and masculine health
- Expensive plant capsules made of fermented tapioca for optimal absorption
- Safe to take long-term without cycling
- Money-back guarantee
- Some ingredients are slightly underdosed
- Only available on the official website
Who Makes Sport T+
Sport T+ is made by Performance Lab, a U.K. based company that specializes in nootropics and sports supplements. They have a reputation for staying at the forefront of scientific research to deliver the best possible results with their ingredients. The quality of everything they offer is extremely high. The prices are premium too, but you wouldn’t expect anything less from a reputable company like Performance Lab.
Performance Lab Sport T+ optimizes multiple stages of testosterone production. It also fights compounds in your body that deactivate testosterone. This multi-pathway approach of boosting testosterone is quite interesting. Not many testosterone boosters work in the same fashion.
Performance Lab claims these benefits for Sport T+:
- Enhanced vitality, power, and performance
- Supports strength, recovery, and athletic performance
- Helps boost androgen levels linked to muscle hypertrophy
- Improves resistance to fatigue and stress
Performance Lab Sport T+ features a number of ingredients that support your testosterone via multiple pathways. From blocking the aromatase enzyme to increasing luteinizing hormone production.
They also use high-quality plant capsules from fermented tapioca. These ensure that all the other ingredients get properly absorbed by your body.
As you could notice, Performance Lab supplements use only nature-identical ingredients in very safe doses.
This can be both a good thing and a bad thing, depending on your goals.
For example, the dosage of boron is only 3 milligrams.
- The studies that showed boron’s benefits on testosterone gave 10mg of boron daily to their volunteers. Based on the current evidence, the dosage in PLab Sport T+ is too weak to have an effect on the male hormone.
Other ingredients are lightly-dosed too; the idea behind this was to not overdo it with the dosages and to keep everything light. Because of this, you may need to give Sport T+ some time to start working. The positive thing about this is that you don’t need to cycle it, unlike some more powerful T boosters.
Let’s now look at the ingredients.
NutriGenesis® Testosterone Essentials
Performance Lab Sport T+ starts with vitamins and minerals that are essential for men’s health. From zinc to boron, these nutrients are the foundations of every high-quality testosterone formula.
Zinc is among the most important ingredients for testosterone, yet a lot of people overlook it when searching for the best T booster on the market. You see, zinc gives your body the raw materials to synthesize T. Zinc can even prevent loss of testosterone caused by overtraining. We lose zinc through sweat so it’s always good to supplement it to prevent deficiency. (4)
You have a lot of testosterone in your body, but not all of that testosterone is free. In fact, only a small percentage of your total testosterone is available to your body for use. The rest of the testosterone is tightly bound to something called Sex hormone-binding globulin, or SHBG. Simply put, SHBG renders your testosterone inert. This is also where magnesium comes it. It protects your testosterone from SHBG, helping raise free T levels in the blood. (5)
Boron fights sex hormone-binding globulin and helps reduce estrogen. In addition, boron supports another androgen hormone – DHT. It works together with magnesium and vitamin D to support healthy masculine health. However, we’d like to see a higher dosage of boron in Performance Lab Sport T+. They only included 3mg of the ingredient here, which is below what research showed is effective for boosting the male hormone. (6)
There’s not much to be said on the topic of vitamin D and its importance for testosterone. By this point almost everyone knows how critical this vitamin is for male health. Studies show it can increase not only your total T levels but also bioactive and free testosterone. (7)
Vitamin K helps prevent a drop in testosterone levels induced by nutrient deficiencies. However, Sport T+ contains vitamin K1, which is inferior to vitamin K2 when it comes to boosting testosterone. Animal research suggests that vitamin K2 boosts testosterone production in testes, and circulates in the blood longer than vitamin K1. (1, 2)
Studies also show that K2 absorbs better in tissues than K1. (3) It’s clear that vitamin K1 in Sport T+ is far from a bad ingredient. We just feel the results would be even better if they included vitamin K2 instead, or even better – in addition to K1.
Ashwagandha KSM-66® (300 mg)
An ancient root herb traditionally used in Ayurveda, Ashwagandha is famous for boosting your resilience to stress. Both physical and emotional. (8)
Your testosterone is under threat when you’re stressed – the stress hormone cortisol wreaks havoc on the male hormone. Ashwagandha helps blunt cortisol release which indirectly promotes healthy testosterone levels. (8)
Studies also suggest that Ashwagandha stimulates Luteinizing Hormone, which tells your testes to spurt out more testosterone. Ashwagandha will also boost your strength and muscle gains. (9, 10)
Mucuna Pruriens (150mg, 15% levodopa)
Mucuna Pruriens is a source of L-DOPA. Your body uses L-DOPA to make dopamine, which is a neurotransmitter that plays a role in mood, motivation, and focus. In addition, Mucuna Pruriens also appears to be beneficial for the male hormone. (11)
D-Aspartic Acid Calcium Chelate (300mg)
D-Aspartic Acid Calcium Chelate, or D-AA-CC is a potent short-term testosterone booster. At doses around 3,000mg, it temporarily boosts testosterone in untrained men who had below optimal T levels to start with. Again, this effect is only temporary – it will last you several weeks at best.
That’s why Performance Lab has included a low dose of D-AA-CC in Sport T+. To ensure low-grade, daily testosterone support so you don’t need to cycle it. It’s also important to note that D-AA-CC doesn’t work if you’re an athlete or a man with already normal testosterone levels. (12)
Luteolin is an antioxidant that inhibits the aromatase enzyme. In case you’re wondering, aromatase converts your testosterone to estrogen. Having an ingredient like luteolin is helpful in slowing down this process. (13)
Overall, Performance Lab Sport T+ boasts an exceptional ingredient profile. One of the best we’ve seen. But as we said, some of the ingredient dosages are fairly light, which might compromise their efficacy.
Besides that, the only 2 ingredients we feel are missing from Lab Sport T+ formula are:
Bioperine – This is a patented form of piperine and one of the best bioavailability enhancers of herbal origin. This means that Bioperine helps absorb other ingredients in your body. (14) Adding it to an already awesome Sport T+ formula would make everything even better.
Indole-3-Carbinol – Indole-3-Carbinol has to be our favorite estrogen fighting compound. Naturally found in broccoli, I3C breaks down into DIM and a few other compounds in your gut. In the body, these work together to reduce estrogen activity, while giving testosterone the room to thrive. (15). We believe it’s I3C that gives this testosterone booster the edge over its competition, including the almost-perfect Performance Lab Sport T+.
How to Take (Dosage)
You should take 2-4 capsules of Performance Lab Sport T+ daily. The producers advise taking 1-2 capsules with the first meal in the morning, followed by 1-2 additional capsules with the second meal.
This is a good way to dose a testosterone booster. The more daily servings it has, the better. In fact, the best testosterone boosters use 3 servings per day because this ensures that the ingredients stay circulating in your system through day and night.
To get the most out of Sport T+, you should also exercise regularly and eat a clean diet. While this is a ‘no-brainer,’ it’s nice to see that a supplement company mentions this, instead of simply pushing their T booster while ignoring the lifestyle aspect of boosting testosterone. Good job by Performance Lab.
Performance Lab are known for producing some of the safest supplements on the market. Their Sport T+ uses clinically tested ingredients with light doses (some perhaps a bit too light!). There’s minimal risk of side effects from taking it. You can even use it long-term without cycling.
With all of that said, there is one word of caution. If you have an autoimmune disease, talk to your doctor before taking a supplement which contains Ashwagandha. This includes Performance Lab Sport T+.
That’s because Ashwagandha is known to strengthen the immune system. This is not a good thing if your immune system is attacking your own body. So again, just make sure to confirm with your doctor that it’s OK to take a supplement such as Sport T+ if you have an autoimmune condition.
Other than that, this T booster is perfectly safe for men of all ages.
Where to Buy Performance Lab Sport T+
You can only buy Performance Lab Sport T+ on their official website. This is a common thing among premium sports supplements. You won’t find them on GNC, Amazon or any other 3rd party site. This is done on purpose to cut the costs for both you as a customer, and them as producers. It also throws the potential fake reviews on 3rd party sites out of the picture. A great policy in our opinion.
1 bottle of Sport Lab T+ will cost you $50. It’s a premium price and honestly, we weren’t expecting it to be any less than that. The quality of the ingredients is unparalleled. You’d be hard-pressed to create the same testosterone stack with these ingredients for the same price.
Is Performance Lab Sport T+ Good Value For Money?
The price of $50 per bottle is more than fair in our opinion. The level of quality you get when you buy Performance Lab Sport T+ gives you an awesome bang for your buck.
So that brings us to the end of this Performance Lab Sport T+ review.
Overall, it’s one of the most complete, purest, and high-quality testosterone boosters we’ve seen.
From carefully chosen ingredients, the eco-friendly packaging, easily degradable capsules to excellent company reputation. Performance Lab Sport T+ has all the qualities of a truly outstanding testosterone booster.
We feel it’s right up there with the best testosterone boosters, including Centrapeak. If we had to choose, we’d say Centreapeak is more powerful due to higher dosages and a few additional ingredients that boost testosterone and reduce estrogen.
So in conclusion, Sport T+ fully deserves its place as the 2nd best testosterone booster currently available, thanks to its awesome quality and safety of use.
FAQ – Your T+ Questions Answered
Is Performance Lab Sport T+ Safe?
Performance Lab Sport T+ is perfectly safe to take for most people. It uses pure ingredients in extremely safe doses. Their formula is free of soy, preservatives, GMOs, artificial colors, or harmful additives. There’s only one word of caution. If you’re suffering from an autoimmune disease, then you might want to check with your doctor because Sport T+ contains Ashwagandha which could aggravate your condition.
Who is Performance Lab Sport T+ For?
It’s intended for men, and men only. No matter your age (just make sure you’re above 18), Sport T+ is designed to optimize your natural testosterone production and overall masculine health. What’s more, it offers secondary benefits like improved recovery, weight control, and virility.
Why is there no Fenugreek in Sport T+?
Fenugreek is an ancient herb that many testosterone boosters use. While it does boost testosterone levels, it does this by sacrificing your Dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is another critical male hormone that works in synergy with testosterone to optimize your health as a man. Therefore, any benefits Fenugreek may have for testosterone are offset by its negative effects on the powerful DHT.
Is Performance Lab Sport T+ Legal?
Performance Lab Sport T+ is legal and perfectly safe to take regardless if you’re an amateur or professional athlete. The producers of Sport T+ have kept in mind that certain testosterone ingredients aren’t legal in some countries. That’s why they’ve carefully designed an effective formula that anybody can use without fear of banned substances. The ingredients in Sport T+ are legal all around the globe.
