Europe’s Strongest Man

The Mountain wins Europe’s Strongest Man literally not putting any efforts

Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson is the one from the Game of Thrones’ badass characters, equally talented as an actor.

We’ve said a lot about the strongest character on the show: his sheer size and strength that has been demonstrated over the course of the series.

So it actually wouldn’t be a surprise for you that Björnsson won his fourth Europe’s Strongest Man competition earlier this week, just a little over a month after the Icelandic strongman set a deadlift world record while taking the 2018 Arnold Strongman Classic title.

Held at Leeds, England, after rigorous testing in events like Max Log, Axle Deadlift, Farmer’s Walk, Car Walk, and Atlas Stones, Hafþór managed to come out victorious.

The top three were as follows:

  1. Hafthor Julius Bjornsson (Iceland)
  2. Konstantine Janashia (Georgia)
  3. Mateusz Kieliszkowski (Poland)

What’s more interesting is that The Mountain even had a follow-up Instagram post, in which he made it clear that being inhumanly strong is actually very easy for him and lifting 100-pound stones is a casual warm-up for him.

“I only had to finish one stone to get my 4th Europe’s Strongest Man title!” Björnsson wrote. “I decided to walk through the stones comfortably and use it as a warm-up in my preparation for World’s Strongest Man!”

Let’s hope this is not the last Hafþór’s performance so that he could win the World’s Strongest Man title next!
